The Oklahoma Psychological Association is excited about this year’s annual conference, OPA 2020: Providing a Lens into Human Behavior Given Today’s Reality. As we all know, this year has been marked by major events in our state, country, and world, and OPA has worked to develop a conference program to reflect the ways psychologists can become involved with and address issues faced by our patients, coworkers, and communities.

This year’s conference features a keynote address from Dr. Charmain Jackman, who will speak on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity. We are also excited to have keynote addresses from Oklahoma-trained providers on Trauma and on Health Care Financing. We have developed a strong agenda, including breakout sessions to address advocacy, assessment, diversity, and treatment. We are hopeful that our conference will help continue important dialogues on race, gender, and response to the pandemic, and how psychologists can best prepare for those challenges with our patients and in the workplace.

The OPA Annual Conference allows an opportunity for psychologists around the state to meet, discuss their experiences, and gain knowledge that will help strengthen the role of psychologists across the state of Oklahoma.
