An OPA initiative supporting the Early Career Licensure Award

The Oklahoma Psychological Association invites artists and creators within our community to participate in Art for the Future, a special art exhibition and silent auction held in conjunction with the 2026 OPA Annual Conference: Elevate Your Voice – The Collective Practice of Care.

Art for the Future brings creativity and community together for a larger purpose: helping support the next generation of Oklahoma psychologists.

Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit OPA's Early Career Licensure Award, created to help offset some of the significant expenses emerging psychologists face as they work toward licensed practice. Exam fees, study materials, applications, and other licensure expenses can easily total $1,000–$2,500.

Supporting an emerging psychologist can have an impact far beyond one individual. It helps strengthen Oklahoma's psychology workforce and expands the capacity of psychologists to serve patients, families, and communities across the state.

Your creativity can be part of that impact.

Call for Art Submissions

OPA welcomes original artwork in a variety of mediums, including:

• Painting and illustration
• Photography
• Mixed media
• Fiber and textile art
• Pottery and ceramics
• Sculpture
• Woodworking
• Jewelry
• Digital art
• And other original creative works

Artists will be asked to provide basic information about the piece, an image of the artwork, a brief artist statement, an artist bio, and an estimated fair market value.

Important Information for Participating Artists

Artwork selected for participation must be delivered and in place no later than 8:00 AM CT on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Rose State College.

Artwork should arrive ready for display. Framed or wall-mounted pieces should include appropriate hanging hardware. Artists are responsible for transporting or arranging delivery of their artwork to the conference.

OPA will provide participating artists with additional information regarding acceptance, artwork delivery, display, silent auction procedures, and pickup before the conference.

Art With a Purpose

Every piece contributed to Art for the Future represents more than something beautiful to display at the conference. Funds raised through the silent auction will help an emerging psychologist move closer to licensed practice—and ultimately toward serving the people and communities who need their expertise.
